Nominations Are Revealed For 2017 Gullruten Awards

On Friday, at a press launch held at Østbanehallen in Oslo, the nominees were revealed for the 2017 Gullruten Awards.
The line-up for Best Drama is testament to the increasing importance of Norwegian drama on the world stage. Nobel is available in 200 countries on Netflix, Valkyrien is soon to premiere on Walter Presents in The UK and USA, and the reputation of Skam has reached far and wide resulting in a planned US remake.
Nominee for Best Actor, Aksel Hennie (Nobel) told VG: “Regardless of who takes home the victory in the category Nobel is nominated in, NRK is the big winner this year. That we have a state channel which takes artistic and economic decisions in order to create good drama for its audience, means a lot to the industry.”
