Nominations Are Revealed For Kristallen 2018

The nominees have been revealed for Kristallen 2018, which rewards innovative thinking, originality and craftmanship in Swedish television, to be presented at the Cirkus Arena in Stockholm on 31st August during a gala ceremony hosted by Gina Dirawi.

Gina Dirawi said: “Quality and the ability to move with the times is a survival issue for the television industry, whether it be entertainment or news. Everyone must up their game, dare to break standards, cross lines we dare not cross and dare to redefine what good TV really is.”

“Hopefully, Kristallen can pay tribute to those who have given a little extra to their craft and promote a more qualitative and multifaceted television landscape, while offering an evening of great joy, good energy and extravagant clothes.”

Nineteen statues will be handed out during the ceremony, of which fifteen will be decided by a jury, three by the audience, along with a special Honorary Prize. However, there are just three categories that are drama specific: Best Drama, Best Actor and Best Actress.
