Noomi Rapace Set For Thicket & O2 Thrillers

Deadline reports that Noomi Rapace (Girl With The Dragon Tattoo) is in pre-production with indie thriller The Thicket, directed by Elliott Lester (Aftermath), adapted from the novel by Joe R. Lansdale.
An innocent young man named Jack (Charlie Plummer) attempts to rescue his sister (Sophia Lillis) after she is kidnapped by violent killer Cut Throat Bill (Noomi Rapace) and her gang. He enlists the help of crafty bounty hunter Reginald Jones (Peter Dinklage), a grave-digging alcoholic son of an ex-slave, and a street-smart prostitute to track the girl into the deadly no-man’s land known as The Big Thicket.
Meanwhile, Deadline also reports that Noomi Rapace is to star in O2, directed by Franck Khalfoun (Prey), which begins production this summer.
The premise is that a woman wakes up in a cryogenic medical pod, alone, with no memory, and no way out. All she knows is that she has 90 minutes of oxygen left and must figure out how to save herself, while discovering who she really is, who put her there, and most importantly – why?
Producer Alexandre Aja said: “One of the most compelling scripts I’ve read in years – a pure survival experience with a great mystery at its core. Even without the oxygen running out, the suspense on the page left me breathless.”
