Nordic Women In Film To Rewrite Movie History
This weekend the Swedish Film Institute will officially launch the Nordic Women In Film website, which will offer a database of women in film, whose contribution is often overlooked, along with articles and news.
The site will initially focus on the female filmmakers of Sweden, but their ambition is to cover the history of film throughout the Nordic region from a feminist perspective.
To celebrate the launch of the website a mini festival will be held at the Film Institute in Stockholm entitled Silence! Re-recording! (Tystnad! Omtagning!):
