Norsemen Creators Board New Netflix Comedy

Netflix have ordered new animated comedy series Captain Fall from Jon Iver Helgaker and Jonas Torgersen, creators of hit Norwegian comedy Norsemen (Vikingane).

The series follows Jonathan Fall, a naive warm-hearted ship captain who finds himself unknowingly the captain of a smuggling ship.

Helgaker and Torgersen said: “We first pitched Captain Fall as a live action show, but Netflix saw the potential of it being animated. Although a bit scary in the beginning, moving from live action to animation just feels amazingly limitless and creative on a whole new level.”

“Luckily, Netflix has surrounded us with a group of extremely talented people, so everything is set up for us not screwing this one up. But you never know.”

Jon Iver Helgaker and Jonas Torgersen will serve as creators, showrunners, and executive producers of the series which comprises twenty episodes and will be released in two parts.
