Norskov, created by Dunja Gry Jensen (Taxa) for SF Film Production and TV2, premiered this week to 662,000 viewers for a 33% share. An extra 85,000 people watched it on TV2 Play – a record high for TV2’s online platform.
Norskov is a police drama that takes place in an industrial city in northern Denmark. The series follows policeman Tom Noack, who returns to the town he grew up in and left almost 20 years ago.
Here he is quickly forced back into old relationships, and when he becomes involved in a drug investigation that impacts his old friends and family, he must decide what his responsibilities really are.
The series, which has been in development for three years, was written by Dunja Gry Jensen. Thomas Levin (Borgen) plays the lead role of Tom Noack, Anne Sofie Espersen plays his sister Jackie, and Claus Riis Østergaard is the mayor, whilst Jakob Ulrik Lohmann is the city’s major contractor.
