Norway Shortlists Three Films For Oscars

The Norwegian Oscar Committee has announced a shortlist of three films to be considered for Best International Feature Film at the 92nd Academy Awards: Beware Of Children by Dag Johan Haugerud, Harajuku by Eirik Svensson, and Out Stealing Horses by Hans Petter Moland.
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences will announce the final five nominations on 13th January, with the Oscar to be presented during a gala ceremony at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on 9th February 2020. Norway’s final submission will be announced on 3rd September.

Beware of Children traces the dramatic aftermath of a tragic event in a middle class suburb of Oslo. During a break in school 13 year-old Lykke, the daughter of a prominent Labour Party member, seriously injures her classmate Jamie, the son of a high profile right-wing politician.
