Out Stealing Horses Leads Amanda Nominees

The nominees have been revealed for the 2019 Amanda Awards, which celebrates the achievements of Norwegian cinema. The winners will be announced during the 47th Norwegian Film Festival in Haugesund on 17th August.

Leading the race with ten nominations is Hans Petter Moland’s Out Stealing Horses which stars Stellan Skarsgård as a grieving widower who moves to the country where a chance encounter rekindles memories from his past.



Close behind with nine nominations is Eirik Svensson’s Harajuku with Ines Høysæter Asserson leading as a teenager who drops out of school to leave for Tokyo, the city of her dreams.

Meanwhile, Magnus Meyer Arnesen’s debut As I Fall received four nominations, and other notable contenders include The Quake, Mordene i Kongo and Sonja with three nominations each.
