Pål Enger Life Story To Be Dramatised For US TV
Dagbladet has revealed that the life story of artist and master criminal Pål Enger is to be dramatised for American television.
In 1988, Enger climbed through a window at the Munch Museum in Oslo and stole the Munch painting Vampyr, and in 1994 he stole Scream from the National Gallery. He has since become an artist himself after beginning to paint during a prison sentence, and opened his first exhibition in 2011.
Pål Enger told Dagbladet: “Hollywood wants to make a TV series based on my life… It’s not a documentary. The Americans will use my life as a starting point and dramatise it to create a crime drama. There is a lot to do.”
