Rams Leads Awards Contenders For Iceland’s 2016 EDDA

The Icelandic Film and Television Academy has announced the nominations for the 2016 EDDA awards, to be held at the Reykjavik Hilton Nordica on Sunday 28th February.

Rams (Hrútar) is a contender in thirteen categories including Best Film, Best Screenplay and Best Director. Virgin Mountain (Fúsi) received twelve nominations whilst Sparrows (Þrestir) had ten.

Iceland’s hit TV export for 2016 Trapped (Ófærð) picked up four nominations including Best Supporting Actor and Best Visual Effects, but was overshadowed by Réttur which had eight nominations.
