Ride Upon The Storm Best International Drama

Ride Upon The Storm (Herrens veje) was named Best Non-English Language Drama at the C21 International Drama Awards on Wednesday, judged by nearly 100 of the world’s leading drama commissioners.

Hot off the heels from winning Best Actor for Lars Mikkelsen at this year’s International Emmy Awards, Ride Upon The Storm faced stiff competition from Home Ground (Norway), Babylon Berlin (Germany), Dark (Germany), Un Bore Mercher (Keeping Faith) (Wales), and Sense Of Tumour (Belgium).

Chairman of the judges, David Jenkinson, said: “With nearly 100 commissioners and buyers voting for these awards, they really are the most considered television drama awards in the international content business. The standard has been exceptional this year and we are delighted there were so many stellar entries.”

Ride Upon The Storm has now been sold to 77 countries, and will be available February 2019 on the Walter Presents streaming service in the UK.
