Ride Upon The Storm Pays For Church Sculpture

Ride Upon The Storm (Herrens veje), which recently scooped an International Emmy for Lars Mikkelsen, will make a lasting impression on the residents of Stenløse in Zealand, as a sculpture is unveiled today at Stenløse Church.
The money that Danish state broadcaster DR paid for use of the church grounds to film Ride Upon The Storm has been used by the Stenløse Church art committee to commission a sculpture for its cemetery.
Fashioned from granite and bronze, Fugletræet (The Bird Tree) by renowned sculptor Bodil Dam was unveiled today after morning worship at the Stenløse Cemetery’s new common grave.
Ride Upon The Storm, which was named Best Non-English Language Drama at the C21 International Drama Awards and has been sold to 77 countries so far, receives its UK premiere on the Walter Presents streaming service in February 2019.
