Robert Award Nominees Revealed For 2020
The Danish Film Academy has revealed its nominations for the 36th Robert Awards (Robert prisen), which honours those who are deemed to have made an outstanding contribution to the Danish film and TV industry.
Three films dominate proceedings this year but Daniel (Ser du månen, Daniel), which tells the story of Danish photographer Daniel Rye who was held hostage by ISIS for 398 days in 2013, leads the pack with 14 nominations.
Meanwhile, Queen Of Hearts, in which a woman jeopardises her career and family by seducing her teenage stepson, and Before The Frost, about a struggling 19th-century farmer who must sacrifice his morals to survive a harsh winter, both have 13 nominations each.
The winners will be announced during a gala awards ceremony on Sunday 26th January at the Tivoli Hotel & Conference Centre in Copenhagen.
