Rolf Lassgård & Lena Olin Begin Second Act

Filming has begun for Andra akten (The Second Act), a story about friendship, hope and the joy of life starring Rolf Lassgård (A Man Called Ove) and Lena Olin (Romeo Is Bleeding) in their first ever movie together.

Life as a newly retired person could be better. Eva’s ex-husband has moved in across the street with his new wife and Eva’s son wants to fend for himself, leaving Eva with time on her hands. But when the great actor Harald Skoog finds that he needs rehabilitation at home after a stroke, a friendship develops between them and it seems that life is not yet over. In fact, it may have even just begun.

Lena Olin said: “This is a story about daring to let go of the ambition to be so damn perfect! It’s about daring to admit to ourselves when we are totally lost, and about just being human! I also love that the main characters are from different planets but brought together by fate.”

Rolf Lassgård added: “It will be really great to work with Lena! To be able to dive into this everyday but also magical story together is really nice. Our characters come from completely different worlds and are very different, but when they get to know each other, chemistry arises against all odds.”

Andra akten, directed by Mårten Klingberg (My Father Marianne), will be filmed in Gothenburg and Stockholm and is slated for a theatrical premiere in Autumn 2022.
