Rolf Lassgård Returns To Jägarna Next Month
Rolf Lassgård returns to the role of Erik Bäckström next month in Jägarna (The Hunters), a six-part TV series that follows on from the 1996 movie of the same name and its 2011 sequel, False Trail.
After being forced to give up his job with the police, Erik has left Stockholm behind him and returned to his hometown in the north of the country where nephew Peter (Johan Nordahl) is following in his uncle’s footsteps and training to become a police officer.
Erik is reluctantly drawn into a police investigation when he decides to help local mining contractor Markus (Pelle Heikkilä) to protect himself from what appears to be aggressive environmentalists, but Erik soon discovers that he has a dark secret.
His sense of justice has always been Erik’s guiding light in life, but it once cost his brother’s life so is he prepared to defend the law again and risk losing everything and everyone that he holds dear?
Jägarna premieres 14th November on C More and will air on TV4 in 2019.
