Skarsgård Adds Critics’ Choice To Trophy Cabinet

Best Supporting Actor in a Limited Series was awarded to Alexander Skarsgård at the 23rd Annual Critics’ Choice Awards on Thursday for his role in HBO drama Big Little Lies.
Skarsgård beat competition from fellow nominees Johnny Flynn (Genius), Benito Martinez (American Crime), Alfred Molina (Feud), David Thewlis (Fargo), and Stanley Tucci (Feud) to take the prize in an awards season which has already presented him with an Emmy and Golden Globe.
Big Little Lies repeated the success of the Golden Globes with awards in exactly the same categories: Best Limited Series, Best Actress for Nicole Kidman, and Best Supporting Actress for Laura Dern. HBO has ordered a second season and Skarsgård is said to be in talks to return.
