Sky Atlantic Secures Midnight Sun For The UK

Sky Atlantic has secured the UK rights to Midnight Sun, a $10.9 million eight-part thriller, written and directed by Björn Stein and Måns Mårlind.
Midnight Sun follows French police officer Kahina Zadi (Leïla Bekhti) who travels to Kiruna, a small mining community in remote northern Sweden, to investigate the brutal murder of a French citizen.
Zadi joins forces with a half-Sami, half-Swedish DA Anders Harnesk (Gustaf Hammarsten) and together they are faced with more killings by a ruthless serial killer, who is always one step ahead, and has a macabre plan.
Director of Programmes for Sky, Zai Bennett, said: “Midnight Sun is a brilliant addition to our bumper line-up of Sky Atlantic programming in 2017… I’ve no doubt that our customers will love this incredibly clever and thought-provoking thriller.”
Midnight Sun has also been sold to Australia (SBS), Belgium (VRT), Benelux (Lumiere), Denmark (DR), Finland (MTV3), Germany (ZDF), Iceland (RUV), Israel (HOT) and Norway (NRK).
