Sofie Gråbøl Begins Filming Harpiks Adaptation

Filming has begun in Funen for Harpiks (Resin), an adaptation of Ane Riel’s bestselling novel directed by Daniel Borgman (The Weight of Elephants), which stars Peter Plaugborg (Winter Brothers) and Sofie Gråbøl (The Killing).
Liv and her family live in isolation, shielded from civilization and living as one with nature. But under the surface lurks decay as the outside world moves ever closer. Their safe haven is heading for a fall, and Liv is set to discover a whole new world.
Published in 2015, Harpiks earned several notable awards, including the Harald Mogensen Prize for Best Danish Thriller and the Glass Key for Best Nordic Thriller. It sold 30,000 copies in Denmark alone and has since sold to 13 countries, including England, Germany, Japan, and Korea.
The cast includes Vivelill Søgaard Holm as 13 year old Liv, with Peter Plaugborg as her father Jens, Sofie Gråbøl as mother Maria, Ghita Nørby as the grandmother, and Amanda Collin as Liv’s hero Roald.
Harpiks is slated to premiere in Danish cinemas at the beginning of 2020.
