Sofie Gråbøl Stars In David Nicholls BBC Adaptation

BBC One has announced that Sofie Gråbøl (The Killing) is to star alongside Tom Hollander (The Night Manager) and Saskia Reeves (Luther) in Us, a four-part drama adapted by David Nicholls from his 2014 novel of the same name.
Us tells the story of Douglas (Tom Hollander) and Connie Peterson (Saskia Reeves), a couple whose marriage is on the rocks. When they go on a family grand tour of European cities, Douglas sees it as a last bid to win back the love of his wife, and repair his troubled relationship with their son.
David Nicholls said: “It’s a huge thrill to see the novel come to life, and with such a wonderful cast and production team. We want to make something funny, touching and beautiful, to really explore marriage and family life, all against this incredible backdrop.”
Executive producers Greg Brenman and Roanna Benn added: “David Nicholls is a unique and rare talent who miraculously manages to intertwine profound emotion with full-on humour. This glorious adaptation has attracted an exceptional cast in Tom Hollander, Saskia Reeves and Sofie Gråbøl.”
Directed by Lisa Siwe (Modus), Us has already begun filming with locations to include London, Amsterdam, Venice, Barcelona and Paris.
