Sony Buys Stake In Jordskott Production Company

Sony Pictures Television have acquired a minority stake in Palladium Fiction, the production company behind Jordskott which won the 2015 Kristallen for Best Drama. Palladium, led by Henrik Björn, Filip Hammarström and Johan Rudolphie, will continue to focus on high end dramas with an international appeal, whilst Sony will handle global distribution.

Henrik Björn said: “This is a really exciting time for original quality drama. We are driven by our love of storytelling and we hand-pick projects close to our heart. This collaboration with Sony gives us the tools to create compelling stories for viewers worldwide.”

Andrea Wong, Sony President of International Production, said: “Palladium are a great complement to our growing portfolio of high-quality drama production companies. Collectively, Henrik, Filip and Johan have a distinctive voice that is edgy, thought-provoking and entertaining.”

Palladium Fiction are currently working on a second season of Jordskott for SVT. They also have three other projects in development including a collaboration with Jimmy Desmarais, producer of The Returned and The Last Panthers, which is described as “a thriller where quantum physics meets mystery”.
