Stellan Skarsgård Speaks About Sons Careers

In an interview with Norwegian newspaper VG, Stellan Skarsgård (Insomnia) has spoken about his role in the burgeoning acting careers of his sons.

Currently starring in Mamma Mia Here We Go Again, Stellan Skarsgård has six children with first wife My, and all five of his sons from that marriage have followed in their father’s footsteps: Alexander (Big Little Lies), Gustaf (Westworld), Bill (IT) and Valter (Black Lake).

Stellan Skarsgård told VG: “They have lived through it with me since they were born, so they are not unaffected by it. It has been a part of their upbringing.”

“They’ve seen that I have fun in everything that I do. That I like my job… But they have also seen the downside of celebrity life. They have no illusions about it.”

“They entered the industry in a good way, with realistic expectations… I have not opened any doors, recommended them to anyone, fixed agents or anything. They have had to do it all by themselves.”

“If they want advice then they can ask me and I’ll give them an answer. But they know more about their lives than I do.”

However, there may be further talent yet to come if sons Ossian (9) and Kolbjörn (6), from his marriage to Megan Everett, decide to enter the profession, but there will be no more. Skarsgård has now had a vasectomy because he feels that eight children are enough.
