Susanne Bier Begins Filming Netflix Movie Bird Box

Susanne Bier (The Night Manager) begins filming Netflix post-apocalyptic thriller Bird Box this week, starring Sandra Bullock (Speed), John Malkovich (Dangerous Liaisons) and Sarah Paulson (American Horror Story).

Bird Box, written by Eric Heisserer (Arrival) based on a short story by Josh Malerman, is set in the near future where a mother (Sandra Bullock) and her two young children have survived an alien invasion which has driven mankind to violence.

The movie follows the family as they navigate a perilous 20 mile river journey blindfolded, through a post-apocalyptic world in which they must rely on their wits and their keen hearing to survive…
