A theatrical release is set for this July in the US for Susanne Bier’s (After The Wedding) 2014 baby snatch drama, A Second Chance (En chance til), which stars Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Game of Thrones) as a detective whose life is thrown into turmoil when tragedy strikes his young family.
When Andreas (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) and drunken divorcee Simon (Ulrich Thomsen) are called out to a domestic disturbance at the home of drug dealer Tristan (Nikolaj Lie Kaas) they find a scene of utter neglect with a baby boy covered in his own excrement.
Then, tragedy strikes for Andreas when his baby son suddenly dies and his life begins to unravel into moral and ethical disarray. As the lines between right and wrong begin to blur, it falls upon Simon to restore order.
A Second Chance receives its first theatrical run in LA this July alongside other selected theatres.
