Swedish Dicks In Hollywood

ViaSat aims to take on Netflix with original scripted programming for its streaming service ViaPlay. The first project will be Swedish Dicks, produced by Brain Academy and Peter Stormare’s Viking Brothers Entertainment.

Peter Stormare (Fargo, The Big Lebowski) will share the lead with comedian Johan Glans in Swedish Dicks, a comedy about two Swedes trying to survive as unlicensed private detectives in downtown Los Angeles.

“We are thrilled to deliver the first ViaPlay original series, starring the biggest names in acting and comedy from Sweden. Swedish Dicks is nothing you have ever seen before, the perfect mixture of laugh out loud moments and dialogue with a more serious undertone,” said series showrunner, Peter Settman.

Swedish Dicks will be available across the Nordic region exclusively on the ViaPlay service in late 2016. Stormare can also be seen in the upcoming Scandinavian version of the hit Finnish series Black Widows which will be produced by Moskito for TV3 and ViaPlay.
