Synnøve Macody Lund Filming Girl In Spider’s Web
Norwegian actress Synnøve Macody Lund (Headhunters) has boarded the movie adaptation of David Lagercrantz’ The Girl In The Spider’s Web, which picks up the story from Stieg Larsson’s original Millennium trilogy.
In the novel, Salander becomes the target of ruthless cyber gangsters, and a violent criminal conspiracy brings terror to the snowbound streets of Stockholm, to the Millennium team, and to Blomkvist and Salander themselves.
The movie adaption is written by Steven Knight (Peaky Blinders) and is directed by Fede Alvarez, with a stellar cast including: Sverrir Gudnason (Borg/McEnroe) as Mikael Blomquist, Claire Foy (The Crown) as Lisbeth Salander, with Sylvia Hoeks (Blade Runner 2049) as Lisbeth Salander’s twin sister, and Claes Bang (The Square) as the villain.
No details have been revealed regarding the character that Synnøve Macody Lund plays, but she told Filter Film & TV: “I can confirm that I have a role in the film and am super happy about it. I’m filming in Berlin right now.”
The Girl In The Spider’s Web will be filmed on location in Berlin and Stockholm, and is slated for release on 9th November.
