Taneli Mustonen To Adapt Opportunity Knocks

The producers of Opportunity Knocks (Norske byggeklosser) have confirmed to VG that a Finnish remake is in the works, to be directed by Taneli Mustonen whose Reunion (Luokkakokous) outsold Star Wars in Finland.

Opportunity Knocks is a remake of Pål Bang-Hansen’s 1972 classic comedy, and follows a couple’s disastrous attempt to renovate a house as they are hindered by difficult bureaucrats, neighbours and artisans. It stars Anders Baasmo Christiansen (Kon-Tiki) and Ine Jansen (Dag) opposite Atle Antonsen (Dag), who plays eleven different roles.

Producers Jørgen Storm Rosenberg and Kjetil Omberg added: “We have only been at the cinema for 2 weeks, and already our neighboring countries have noticed the film. We have also been contacted by a Danish production company, but nothing has been decided yet.”
