Teaser Trailer Drops For I Am Zlatan Biopic

A teaser trailer has been released for I Am Zlatan (Jag är Zlatan), adapted by David Lagercrantz from his own Zlatan Ibrahimovic biography which charts the footballer’s journey meteoric rise from the age of nine through to his time at Juventus.

I Am Zlatan sold over a million copies in Sweden alone and was published in over thirty countries. It is the story of a guy who grew up in very simple conditions, but through outstanding talent, hard work and determination, eventually got everything he had ever dreamed of.

David Lagercrantz said: “Zlatan is not just a fantastic football player. He’s an incomparable story too. His journey from growing up in Rosengård to the world stage is a classic underdog story. We wanted to capture the complexity of that story, and highlight the suffering in its twists and turns.”

I Am Zlatan, directed by Jens Sjögren (Before We Die), is slated for a theatrical release in Autumn 2021.
