SVT’s hit series The Bridge is now nearing the end of its third season in Scandinavia, and begins it’s run in the UK on BBC4 this weekend, but will it return for a fourth?
“If Sofia wants,” reveals series creator Hans Rosenfeldt in an interview on Sveriges Radio.
“We’re talking about a season four, but there is much that must fall into place before it is finalised. There may be a fourth season, but it depends crucially on whether Sofia Helin wants to do it. It would not be possible to do it without Saga Norén.”
However, Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet writes that Sofia Helin’s agent will not comment on any continuation of the series at the present time, and Rosenfeldt seems to know little more than her agent. Indeed, there is no guarantee that Helin will agree to another season, given that she felt burned out after recording the third season.
