The Hundred Year Old Man Eyes Oscar For Best Make-Up

Eva von Bahr and Love Larson have been nominated for an Oscar in the category of Best Make-Up & Hairstyling for their work on The Hundred Year Old Man Who Climbed Out The Window And Disappeared, in which they transformed 51 year old Robert Gustafsson to almost twice his actual age.
“We sat here in our room and watched the broadcast and screamed, we cried so loud that the artisans in the street outside here stopped working. This is so great,” says Eva von Bahr.
Felix Herngren’s The Hundred Year Old Man is a comedy about a man who decides to escape through the window of a nursing home on his 100th birthday, and finds himself on an absurd, intrepid journey. Variety praised the movie in its review as “a welcome arthouse counter-programmer for those wary of heavier foreign imports.”
The Nominees for Best Make-Up & Hairstyling are: Mad Max: Fury Road (Lesley Vanderwalt, Elka Wardega and Damian Martin), The Hundred Year Old Man Who Climbed Out The Window And Disappeared (Love Larson and Eva von Bahr), and The Revenant (Siân Grigg, Duncan Jarman and Robert Pandini).
