The Last Kingdom Season Four Confirmed

Alexander Dreymon, who plays Uhtred in Netflix epic saga The Last Kingdom, has revealed on Twitter that the series is confirmed for a fourth season.
Born the son of a Saxon nobleman, Uhtred is captured by Danes and raised as their own. But as he embarks on a quest to reclaim his birthright, he is forced to tread a dangerous path between both sides and play his part in the birth of a new nation.
Series writer Stephen Butchard first hinted that there was more to come during a panel discussion at London Comic Con in November, but Alexander Dreymon’s tweet is the first official confirmation of a fourth season.
Stephen Butchard said: “We go through two books per season so at the end of season three we’re on book six and since we started Bernard (Cornwell) has been a busy, busy man so there’s still a few to come… So there’s more series to come if people still want it, I’m sure.”
The first three seasons of The Last Kingdom are currently available to stream on Netflix.
