After a rich man is found dead from what seems to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound, Reykjavik detective Helgi arrives on the scene to investigate.

Helgi and Gréta, his green young partner, clash on how to conduct the murder case. Their job takes a turn when a young girl and her father go missing.

Helgi is haunted by a traumatic crime from the past. As he and Gréta question witnesses, they realize someone is too frightened to tell the truth.

Helgi and Gréta are finally working together as new facts about Bjorn’s drug ties are revealed. A family crisis sends Helgi on a rogue operation.
