The Lawyer Returns To Viaplay For Season Two

Viaplay has announced that The Lawyer (Advokaten), starring Alexander Karim as a defence attorney hell-bent on revenge, will return for a second season next year.
The Lawyer follows the dangerous descent of Swedish attorney Frank Nordling (Alexander Karim) into Copenhagen’s underworld. When he discovers that the firm’s most important client was responsible for the murder of his parents when he was a child, Nordling is drawn into a web of violence and revenge.
Most of the original cast will join Alexander Karim for season two including Malin Buska, who plays Frank’s sister Sara Khalil, alongside Danish stars Thomas Bo Larsen (Follow The Money) and Nicolaj Kopernikus (The Killing).
Producer, Nicklas Wikström Nicastro, said: “We are incredibly excited to be taking Frank and Sara’s stories further with a second season. We have created a world of characters that we love and are convinced that this continuation will be even more exciting than the first season.”
Alexander Karim added: “When we finished the first season of The Lawyer, I said that it was the most rewarding role of my life. That is no longer true – season two has now taken first place. Frank’s journey for this season is absolutely amazing!”
Filming is currently underway for the eight-episode second season of The Lawyer which will premiere on Viaplay across the Nordic region in 2020.
