The Real Estate To Compete At Berlin Film Festival

Måns Månsson and Axel Petersén’s feature film The Real Estate (Toppen av ingenting) has been selected to compete in the Main Competition programme at the heart of the 68th Berlin Film Festival (15 – 25 February) where it will receive its world premiere.
After a lifetime of living hand to mouth, 68 year old Nojet (Léonore Ekstrand) inherits an apartment building from her recently deceased father. However the blessing turns into a curse as she is thrown into the murkiest corners of the Swedish housing market.
Måns Månsson & Axel Petersen’s previous collaboration, Avalon, received four Guldbagge nominations in 2013, and won Best Supporting Actress for Léonore Ekstrand, who also stars in The Real Estate.
Meanwhile, Göran Olsson returns to the Panaroma section of the Berlinale with his new documentary That Summer, in which he recalls the eccentric universe of the symbiotic mother-daughter duo from the 1975 documentary Grey Gardens by Albert and David Maysles.
That Summer presents lost footage from the summer of 1972 filmed by Peter Beard, Lee Radziwill, and Andy Warhol among others, which provides further insight into the dynamics of the Hamptons artist community.
