The Truth Will Out To Premiere Next Month

The Truth Will Out (Det som göms i snö), an eight-part psychological thriller written by Aron Levander and Hans Jörnlind, based on an idea by Swedish criminologist Leif GW Persson, premieres next month on Kanal 5,

Peter Wendel (Robert Gustafsson) returns to the police force after a period of sickness to head up a new Cold Case Unit. However, as he begins to recruit it becomes clear that he isn’t forming a super group, but a place to dump misfits that other departments don’t want.

As the team begin their first investigation together, they find that it reaches out into the corridors of power and, as Peter becomes personally drawn into the case along with his teenage daughter Vera, he is forced to confront his personal demons and mental health issues.

The Cold Case Unit comprises Louise Peterhoff (Blue Eyes) as Caijsa Bergholm, Christopher Wagelin (Real Humans) as Jorma Virttanen, and Ia Langhammer (A Serious Game) as Barbro Svensson. The cast also includes Maria Sundbom, Erik Johansson and Johan Ulveson.

The Truth Will Out, directed by Kjell-Åke Andersson and Lisa Farzaneh, premieres 21st August on Kanal 5 and will air later on Viaplay.
