Two months have passed when Jonna and Lasse return to Åland for the forthcoming Christmas celebrations. But the guest house is run down and nothing is ready for its opening. Oskar has sunk deeper into both the bottle and depression. Now the siblings must fight both against and for each other to bring order to the guest house and their lives. But it’s easier said than done when the family’s dark history once again makes its presence felt.
The storm has severely damaged the guest house, which is costly for the siblings to fix. It is now a race against time to get it ready for Christmas. Oskar is suspicious of what Lasse was doing on the night of the storm and now even the police are asking questions. Lasse gets cold feet and decides to leave the island with the money, but can he really leave his siblings in the lurch?
Liv’s return to the guest house is dizzying. She doesn’t like that Jonna has taken over her role and has a lot of new ideas. Oskar realizes that he must end the relationship with Petra, and Lasse receives a call from Vietnam. At the same time Laura North’s investigation into the burning boat and the storm’s aftermath exposes the sins of the past.
Konrad gathers the siblings to show them the macabre discovery. Oskar thinks that the truth about what happened to their father will be revealed. Lasse and Jonna struggle to prevent Uncle Konrad from going to the police. Jonna and Ville start a relationship. Petra makes an unexpected visit to the guest house and sees Oskar together with Liv. The build-up of pressure pushes Oskar further into the darkness.

Oskar and Liv try to find a way back to each other, and there is a spark between Lasse and the most unexpected person on the island. Kim is drawn more and more to the strange man she helps in the cottage, and Lasse sets off on a very dangerous trip to Helsinki in another attempt to bring order to everyone’s lives.
The search for Konrad intensifies and Laura works tirelessly to put the puzzle together regarding his disappearance and the money. Oskar tries to persuade Liv to maintain a facade when their daughter Cecilia comes home for Christmas. Jonna and Liv discover a shocking secret.
Christmas is fast approaching and the siblings are on pins and needles. Oskar still doesn’t know that Liv is pregnant and Lasse doesn’t know how to handle it. Jonna says that she and Wille are going to leave the island, but Laura has other plans. Oskar’s bitterness reaches new heights and he takes to the bottle. The clock is ticking for the Waldemar family and reality is about to catch up with them.
