Thue Rasmussen Replaced In The Witcher Season Two

Thue Rasmussen (The New Nurses) has been forced to drop out of season two of The Witcher due to scheduling conflicts caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
Production on The Witcher came to a halt in mid March as the pandemic took hold, but resumed on 17th August with Basil Eidenbenz replacing Thue Rasmussen as Eskel, fellow Witcher and longtime friend of Geralt of Rivia (Henry Cavill).
Thue Rasmussen wrote on Instagram: “Sadly, due to the rescheduling because of Covid-19, I will not be portraying Eskel in The Witcher. It’s heartbreaking, of course, but I mostly feel happy and grateful for the days I got to spend on set earlier this year.”
“I wish everyone on the show best of luck with the rest of the production. I am sure season two will be absolutely amazing and now I get to watch it as a fanboy instead of as a Witcher.”
The Witcher season two is slated to premiere on Netflix in 2021.
