Tommy Wirkola Directs Mel Gibson In War Pigs

Mel Gibson and Colin Farrell are on board to star in War Pigs, the forthcoming action thriller to be directed by Tommy Wirkola (Dead Snow).

In War Pigs, written by Nick Ball and John Niven, a group of disillusioned ex-marines go on one last mission to avenge the murder of one of their own by a cartel that also stole millions of dollars in drug money. Colin Farrell plays Drex and Mel Gibson plays The Pastor.

Tommy Wirkola told Altaposten: “It’s crazy to be making a movie with such experienced and skilled people, and I look forward to filming.” He added to VG: “I’m very excited. I have friends who have recently worked with (Mel Gibson) and they only had very nice things to say.”

War Pigs is slated to begin production this October.
