Unge Lovende Sets New Record For Online Viewing
The drama series Unge Lovende (Young & Promising) was made available online before being aired on NRK, and recent figures show that the gamble paid off with an average of 170,000 viewers, making it NRK’s most watched drama series online.
Chief Analyst at NRK, Kristian Tolonen, told VG:
“We live in a time where young people see less drama on regular TV. The figures for Unge Lovende show that two out of three viewers online is under 40 years of age. At the same time viewing figures for ordinary TV show that it is older viewer groups who have watched Unge Lovende linearly.”
Whilst The Saboteurs has now been pushed into second place with 2,000 fewer viewers online, Unge Lovende still has a long way to go in the linear space with The Saboteurs attracting an average of 1.4 million against 298,000-374,000 for Unge Lovende.
