Viaplay Orders Second Season Of Threesome

Viaplay has announced that critically acclaimed drama Threesome will return for a second season of intimacy and intrigue with Lisa Linnertorp back in the director’s chair to guide protagonists David and Siri on their journey of growth and discovery.
In season one, we met David (Simon Lööf) and Siri (Matilda Källström), a young Swedish couple living in London. They have been lovers since their final year of high school and feel certain that they are soul mates so have defied modern convention and started a life together early.
Their bond seems unbreakable, but when they meet French art student Camilla (Alma Jodorowsky) out in the late hours, a flirtatious game develops in which boundaries begin to break down. But Siri develops an unhealthy jealousy that turns out to be difficult to control, and as the series ends she starts an affair with John (Lucien Laviscoun).
The second season picks up the story where the first left off. When David reads a text message from John to Siri, he realises that she has deceived him. Anger and despair rage in him, but he hides it from Siri. Instead, he begins to put the puzzle pieces together behind her back.
Returning cast members for season two also includes Kitt Walker as Mario, Cat White as Josephine and Emily Renée as Miriam.
Director Lisa Linnertorp said: “I feel great joy and humility over the work on season two of Threesome and look forward to continuing David and Siri’s journey. The second season is about breaking up – to leave and be left by the one you love, when love in one fell swoop is transformed and distorted and no longer overcomes everything.”
Season two of Threesome, written by Lisa Linnertorp and Elisabeth Marjanovic Cronvall, is expected to premiere on Viaplay at the turn of 2023.
