Viaplay Partisan Wins At Canneseries

Five-part Viaplay original Partisan, starring Fares Fares, has been named as Best Drama at the 3rd annual Canneseries festival, decided by a jury comprising actors Laetitia Eido, Grégory Fitoussi, Roxane Mesquida and Caroline Proust alongside composer Randy Kerber and director Jean-Pascal Zadi.
Partisan takes place in the idyllic surroundings of Jordnära, a gated community that runs a very successful organic vegetable farm where mysterious stranger Johnny (Fares Fares) joins as their new truck driver.
Johnny gets to know foster kids Nicole and Maria who are spending the summer at Jordnära, but soon begins to suspect trafficking. However, the more Johnny’s concern for the girls grows, the more he is distracted from his main mission. But who exactly is Johnny and what is his true agenda?
Partisan fought off fierce competition from Atlantic Crossing (Norway), Man In Room 301 (Finland), Top Dog (Sweden), 257 Reason To Live (Russia), Cheyenne And Lola (France / Belgium), Losing Alice (Israel), Moloch (France), Red Light (Belgium / Netherlands) and Truth Seekers (UK).
