Viaplay Ready To Open Box 21 Thriller

Viaplay has announced that six-part crime thriller Box 21, the first of four planned series based on the novels of Anders Roslund and Börge Hellström, will premiere 17th January across the Nordic region.
Two young girls from Romania are lured to Sweden with false promises of a better life but end up in sex slavery. As they seek revenge upon the men who stole their lives from them, the line between criminal and victim blurs, and Inspector Ewert Grens (Leonard Terfelt) struggles to untangle a complex and deadly web of secrets. Does Box 21 hold the answer?
Directed by Mani Maserrat (Modus), the cast of Box 21 includes Mimosa Willamo (Deadwind), Simon J. Berger (Hidden), Joakim Sällquist (Goliat), Sandra Andreis (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo) and Ellen Jelinek (Miss Friman’s War).
Viaplay Chief Content Officer, Jakob Mejlhede Andersen, said: “Opening Box 21 will be a unique experience for Viaplay viewers. This highly ambitious series will reflect the unflinching realism, moral complexity and engrossing storylines that have established Roslund & Hellström as some of the most acclaimed crime novelists in the Nordic region and beyond.”
