Sky and Channel 4 in the UK have struck a reciprocal content deal that includes making a selection of programmes from Walter Presents available on the Sky platform.
The deal means that Formula 1 highlights, which were to be exclusive to Sky from next year, will now continue to be shown on Channel 4, along with the 2019 British Grand Prix. Meanwhile, the first season of Tin Star will be shown this autumn ahead of its return to Sky Atlantic for season two in early 2019.
In return, selected Channel 4 and Walter Presents drama series will be released as box sets on the Sky and NOW TV platforms, with the third season of Paul Abbott’s award-winning No Offence available from tomorrow.
Chief Executive Officer for Sky UK, Stephen van Rooyen, said: “Today’s partnership is the start of a new era of collaboration… Not only will this innovative partnership benefit viewers… but it will further strengthen the ecosystem of UK broadcasters and British originated content.”
