Walter Presents Farang & The Court UK Premieres

Foreign language streaming service Walter Presents has picked up the UK rights from Red Arrow Studios for Swedish thriller Farang and Icelandic legal drama The Court (Réttur), which serves as a prequel to Case.
In Farang, which premieres on Channel 4 later this year, former criminal Rickard (Ola Rapace) is out of options and flees Sweden to start afresh in Thailand. Ten years later he still has a price on his head, but when his daughter Thyra (Louise Nyvall) comes looking for him, he must choose between disclosing his identity or losing her yet again.
Meanwhile, both seasons of The Court will be available in the UK as part of Walter Presents on All4 this September. Season one debuted on Walter Presents US in May and will be followed by season two in August.
The prequel to Case follows Brynhildur and Hörður who quit law firm Þeimir to form Law and Court Inc with Logi, one of the top lawyers in the country who has a dark past. Murder, financial scandals, fraudulent religious leaders, family tragedies, manslaughter and smuggling sex toys are just some of the cases that the team encounter.
Walter Iuzzolino, the curator of Walter Presents, said: “I’m a huge fan of Case which continues to be one of our most successful Walter Presents series, so securing the first and second series of The Court where we first get introduced to the compelling character of Logi Traustason, will be a real treat for viewers.”
