A raft of distribution deals have been announced for the six-part second season of hit thriller Alex, about a ruthless and corrupt cop (Dragomir Mrsic) who decides to go straight, including Walter Presents for the UK, Australia and New Zealand.
As the season begins, Alex’s (Dragomir Mrsic) world had fallen apart. He saved his son from the mafia but paid a heavy price – his wife left him and he got sent to jail for killing a police officer. Surviving as an ex-cop in a high-security wing will be no easy task and it seems that his only choice might be to join the gangs he fought against.
However, hope arrives when ex-partner Frida (Rakel Wärmländer) offers Alex a reduced sentence if he goes undercover. He agrees because his family needs him, but Alex’s character and resolve are put to the test once more as he is drawn into a complex game where everyone, including the police, try to play him.
The second season has been picked up by Amazon Prime Video (France), Walter Presents for the UK, Australia and New Zealand, MHZ (USA), ProSiebenSat1 (Germany), UPC (Switzerland), Ale Kino+ (Poland), Elisa/My Nordic TV (China), STOD (Iceland) and Green Narae Media (South Korea).
A third season of the fast-paced thriller is currently in development.
