Warrior And The Rain Compete At Series Mania

Upcoming Danish dramas Warrior (Kriger) and The Rain have been selected to compete in the official competition at the 9th Series Mania television drama festival (April 27-May), which relocates from Paris to Lille this year.
Warrior is the story of war veteran CC (Dar Salim) who returns home haunted by his last mission, in which his best friend was killed. To ease his conscience, he helps his friend’s widow, police officer Louise (Danica Curcic), who is investigating gang crime. It premieres this September on TV2 Denmark.
Netflix’s first Danish original, The Rain, follows the hazardous journey of two siblings as they search for safety, set ten years after a biological catastrophe almost wiped out the population of Scandinavia. It premieres 8th May on Netflix.
Denmark’s hopefuls will be judged by screenwriter Chris Brancato (Hannibal), producer Maria Feldman (False Flag) and actor Clovis Cornillac (Chefs) against Ad Vitam (France), American Woman (USA), An Ordinary Woman (Russia), Autonomies (Israel), Il Miracolo (Italy), Mystery Road (Australia), On the Spectrum (Israel), and The Split (UK).
Meanwhile, the International Panorama section of the festival will present the world premiere of Norwegian comedy The Oil Fund, alongside Denmark’s high octane thriller Greyzone, and Liberty based on the novel by Jakob Ejersbo.
