Will Ferrell Takes 100 Year-Old Man To Hollywood
Will Ferrell is to produce and star in a Hollywood remake of The 100 Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared, based on the novel by Jonas Jonasson.
The 100 Year-Old Man is a comedy about a man who decides to escape through the window of a nursing home on his 100th birthday, and finds himself on an absurd, intrepid journey.
Variety praised Felix Herngren’s original adaptation as “a welcome arthouse counter-programmer for those wary of heavier foreign imports.” It went on to be Oscar nominated for Best Make-Up and Hairstyling at the 88th Academy Awards in 2016.
