Wisting and his team are hit hard when a crime scene reconstruction with serial killer Tom Kerr goes wrong. Wisting’s daughter, Line, tries to deal with the fact that she was accidentally to blame.

Wisting tries to rally the team after the tragedy that has befallen them. He is forced to cooperate with special investigator Stiller in the hunt for the mysterious accomplice known as The Other.

A new disappearance makes Wisting and Stiller fear that the killers are about to flee the country. But has the new victim really been kidnapped? A new clue leads the police to make an arrest.

Line’s shocking discovery forces the police to reconsider their profile of The Other. Time is running out as the killer tidies some loose ends, and Wisting discovers the secret that his daughter has kept from him.
