Young Wallander Season Two Confirmed For Netflix

Adam Pålsson has revealed on Facebook that he is set to reprise his role as Kurt Wallander in a second season of Young Wallander for Netflix, which follows the formative experiences of the iconic detective as a recently graduated police officer in his early twenties.

Adam Pålsson said: “You might have seen me recently, fighting injustice on Young Wallander. And I’m happy to announce that I will be stepping back into the shoes of Sweden’s favourite stubborn detective.”

“I just started reading the script, so I can’t tell you a whole lot more just yet. All I can say is that I find myself flipping through the pages and I can’t wait to start filming. So keep an eye on Netflix for more suspense, more opera, more sleepless nights, and I guess more me. Coming your way. Soon.”

Casting has yet to be announced, but season one included Richard Dillane (Wolf Hall) as Superintendent Hemberg, Leanne Best (Line Of Duty) as Frida Rask, Ellise Chappell (Poldark) as Mona, and Yasen Atour (Marcella) as Reza.

Young Wallander season two premieres on Netflix in 2021.
